NAPERVILLE – A pair of first-time weekly award winners from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) – Illinois Wesleyan’s Britney Maldonado and Jennie Hubbard – were recognized as the league’s Women’s Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week, according to a Tuesday announcement from the conference office.
 
Maldonado, who was named to the All-CCIW Second Team earlier Tuesday, logged five goals and six assists for the Titans in their 22-4 win over Elmhurst last Monday. She also tallied a career-high 10 shots in the victory. Five days later, the Hoffman Estates, Ill. native added five points – two goals and three assists – in the regular-season finale at Carthage.
 
Hubbard finished the week with 10 ground balls, seven caused turnovers and three draw controls over IWU’s two matches last week. Hubbard, one of two Titans selected to the All-CCIW First Team on Tuesday, established a new career best with five caused turnovers in last Monday’s victory over Elmhurst.
