CCIW Women’s Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week (Dec. 11)

NAPERVILLE – For the third time this season, Wheaton’s Tess Boyer is the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week in women’s swimming, according to a Wednesday morning announcement from the league office.
 
Boyer, a sophomore, had a breakthrough weekend for the Thunder at the Wheaton Invite with three victories – all lifetime-best times. The Merriam, Kan. native won the 200 individual medley in 2:06.28, the 200 fly in 2:04.53 and the 400 individual medley in 4:26.78.
 
Boyer’s 400 IM time was an NCAA “B” cut was a new meet record. Boyer also split 24.1 seconds in the 200 freestyle relay, 51.8 seconds on the 400 freestyle relay, and 57.2 seconds on the fly leg of the 400 medley relay.
