NAPERVILLE – Augustana right-hander Adam Bendoraitis and North Park outfielder Alex DiVito have been selected College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athletes of the Week in baseball, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

Monday's release marks the first CCIW Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week during the 2024 season.
 
Pitcher: Adam Bendoraitis, Augustana
The 6-foot senior from Batavia, Ill. picked up a pair of wins on the hill for the Vikings, totaling 10 strikeouts over 10.1 innings as the defending CCIW champions opened their season with a 4-1 record. His early-season earned-run average is 1.74.
 
Bendoraitis punched out eight hitters over 5.0 scoreless innings in his 2024 debut versus Greenville on Feb. 17. Six days later, he kept Calvin off balance in 5.1 innings, inducing 11 ground-ball outs and striking out two in Augie’s 5-2 victory.
 
Hitter: Alex DiVito, North Park
Already named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week last Monday, DiVito is 13-for-20 (.650) over his first five starts for the Vikings. The junior has hit safely in all five games, including consecutive four-hit games against Covenant on Feb. 17 and Lawrence last Friday.
 
DiVito also swiped four bags, homered in the season opener at Covenant on Feb. 17 and drove in two runs in his start to the campaign.
