NAPERVILLE – Elmhurst’s Eli Spence and Illinois Wesleyan’s Trystan Seeley were selected as the Co-Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW), while Carthage’s Chad Kohlmann was the defensive recipient, according to a Tuesday men’s lacrosse announcement from the conference office.
 
Co-Offensive: Eli Spence, Elmhurst
Spence earned his third weekly honor from the CCIW on Tuesday after compiling six points for the Bluejays in each of their wins last week. The 6-foot-3 attackman from Snoqualmie, Wash. had four goals and two assists as EU bested Aurora last Wednesday, 16-8. Three days later, it was a two-goal, four-assist performance for Spence in Elmhurst’s 15-9 triumph over Southwestern.
 
Co-Offensive: Trysta Seeley, Illinois Wesleyan
Seeley, a 2022 All-CCIW pick, scored four goals and tacked on two assists to lead the Titans to their third 20-goal outburst of the season, a 20-8 drubbing of Southwestern last Thursday in Bloomington. The Castle Rock, Colo. native, who established season highs in goals, assists and points, hit the game-winning goal for the Titans with 2:05 remaining before halftime.
 
Defensive: Chad Kohlmann, Carthage
Making his eighth and ninth career appearances, Kohlmann set a new career best for ground balls with 11 last Wednesday versus Benedictine, then one-upped the mark with 12 ground balls on Saturday at Albion.
 
The freshman was also 19-for-26 on faceoffs against Benedictine and 25-for-32 at Albion for a weekly percentage of .759. His season face-off percentage of .641 leads the CCIW and his 123 face-off wins this spring are second-most in the league.
