AVCA All-America Team Announced Monday

NAPERVILLE – College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men’s volleyball student-athletes earned five of the 28 All-America selections from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Monday afternoon. The announcement marked the 21st edition of the AVCA All-America Teams.
 
Loras junior and 2024 CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year Corey Mayotte was selected to the First Team, one of three Duhawks to earn All-America status. Mayotte was a Second Team honoree last season.
 
CCIW Co-Setter Student-Athlete of the Year Joe Horn and Dorian Fiorenza were named to the Second Team. Loras, which advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament over the weekend, were one of only three teams nationwide to have three players on the All-America team.
 
Max Sellers, the 2024 CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year, landed on the Second Team as the Vikings’ first-ever men’s volleyball All-American.
 
Carthage’s Gene McNulty, who was also voted CCIW Co-Setter Student-Athlete of the Year, received All-America Honorable Mention.
