NCC’s MacKenzie, Anderson Collect CCIW Women’s Lacrosse Honors

NAPERVILLE – After earning a victory in their College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) opener last Saturday, North Central’s Abby MacKenzie and Cassidy Anderson have earned the league’s Student-Athlete of the Week awards in women’s lacrosse on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Offensive: Abby MacKenzie, North Central

MacKenzie, a junior from Chilhowee, Mo., established new career highs with seven goals and nine points in the Cardinals’ 18-9 triumph over Augustana in Naperville. She also had 15 draw controls and four ground balls in helping NCC to its sixth win of the spring.
 
Defensive: Cassidy Anderson: North Central
In the win over Augustana, Anderson had 10 saves with a .588 saves percentage. The Riverside, Ill. native has now had 10 saves or more four times this season.
 
The performance lowered her season goals-against average to 9.69, third-lowest in the CCIW in 2024.
