NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Men’s Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday for matches played between Monday, Sept. 2 and Sunday, Sept. 8.
Offensive: Logan Tierney, Illinois Wesleyan, Junior (Bloomington, Ill.)
Tierney, a 6-foot-1 forward, erupted for two goals and an assist in the Titans’ 5-0 shutout of Blackburn last Saturday in Bloomington. Tierney scored both of his goals – the first two of his career – in the final eight minutes of the first half. His assist also came during that stretch, a helper on Ryder Coleman’s strike in the 41st minute.
Defensive: Trevor Share, North Central, Junior (Elgin, Ill.)
Share logged two shutouts for North Central last week in victories on the road over Trine and and Albion. His performances lowered his season goals-against average to 0.75 and raised his 2024 saves percentage to .800.
Share, now 2-1-1 in goal this season, made three saves in last Friday’s 2-0 win at Trine.
