Unbeaten IWU Stays as High as #2 in National Rankings

NAPERVILLE – Illinois Wesleyan is still ranked second in the D3hoops.com national poll and third by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) in the most recent announcements on Monday and Tuesday.
 
The Titans (18-0) remained one of four unbeaten teams in Division III after securing College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) wins over Millikin (81-60) last Wednesday and Wheaton (93-57) on Saturday.
 
The D3hoops.com voters had one first-place ballot for the Titans for 589 points, trailing only top-ranked NYU (16-0). The top three positions in the coaches’ poll – NYU, Scranton and IWU – remained unchanged.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, Ill.), Carroll University (Waukesha, Wis.), Carthage College (Kenosha, Wis.), Elmhurst University (Elmhurst, Ill.), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, Ill.), Millikin University (Decatur, Ill.), North Central College (Naperville, Ill.), North Park University (Chicago, Ill.) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, Ill.).
