The three-round, 54-hole CCIW Championship is scheduled to begin Monday morning at 9 a.m. at Metamora Fields Golf Club in Metamora, Ill. It’s the third consecutive season the championship has been hosted by Metamora Fields. The 2025 tournament is the 30th CCIW Women’s Golf Championship.
The Titans, winners of the last three CCIW titles since 2022, earned eight first-place votes and 64 total points in the poll. IWU has won eight of the last 10 conference crowns since 2015.
"We're just playing the golf course," Illinois Wesleyan head coach Craig Onsrud said when asked about his team's ranking in the poll. "What happens at the finish happens at the finish. Not putting too much pressure on what the event means ... (and) just try to keep (the players) as loose as they possibly can. Don't let the moment get to them."
"I think our mentality heading into next Monday is just trusting the process," IWU senior Brooke Erhard said. "We've all just worked super hard. Just moving forward and having faith in our abilities and confidence, I think is definitely going to be really important."
Carthage followed in second with 53 points and one first-place vote, while Augustana was third with 46 points.
North Central (41) and Millikin (36) rounded out the top five, with Elmhurst (34), Carroll (27), Wheaton (12) and North Park (11) completing the poll.
