NAPERVILLE — Illinois Wesleyan senior Adriana Crabtree was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week in women’s cross country on Tuesday. She is the first women’s cross country runner to receive the honor from the CCIW four consecutive times.
Crabtree finished 21st in the B race at Wisconsin’s Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison last Saturday. She competed against all Division I competition and finished the race in 21:51 – ahead of nearly 60 other student-athletes.
The senior is the first CCIW student-athlete to earn weekly honors from the league five times in one season since North Central’s Amanda Laesch in 2010.
