CCIW Reveals 2025 Postseason Women’s Tennis Honors

NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) unveiled the 2025 All-CCIW Women’s Tennis Teams and postseason award winners on Monday, as voted on by the league’s head coaches.

North Central’s Abigail Penados was named the CCIW Student-Athlete of the Year for the third consecutive season, the first recipient of the award three years in a row since Wheaton’s Elizabeth Worsowicz (2009-11). Penados led the Cardinals to another CCIW title this fall, going unbeaten from #1 singles.

Carthage’s Rya Arreazola earned CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year honors on Monday. The freshman from Janesville, Wis. collected six doubles wins against CCIW foes, primarily from the second spot in the lineup.

The North Central coaching staff was voted the CCIW Coaching Staff of the Year. Under the direction of head coach Nathan Boatright, the Cardinals swept the league schedule to win their fourth straight CCIW duals title since 2022.
