NAPERVILLE — Emily Belcik, a sophomore at Carthage, has been voted Women’s Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) on Tuesday afternoon.
The Chicago native delivered a standout weekend at the Calvin Quad Invitational, posting season-best times in the 100 freestyle (53.87) and 200 freestyle (1:59.46) — both the fastest marks in the CCIW this season.
Belcik also posted a time of 25.00 seconds in the 50 freestyle, ranking second in the league. She also contributed a 24.63 relay split in the 200 freestyle relay and clocked a 1:02.05 in the 100 butterfly.
