NAPERVILLE — The 2025 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Soccer Championship final is set after a dominant showing by top-seeded North Central and a historic breakthrough from second-seeded North Park in Wednesday’s semifinal round.

North Central cruised past Wheaton, 4-0, to secure its fifth consecutive trip to the title match, while North Park edged Elmhurst, 2-1, to earn the program’s first-ever championship appearance. The Cardinals and Vikings will meet for the conference crown on Saturday at 5 p.m.

#1 North Central def. #5 Wheaton, 4-0
NCC’s Mackenzie Loomis opened the scoring in the 11th minute, and Gabriella Mattio added two quick goals just over a minute apart midway through the first half. Assists came from Madison DeVriendt, Kara Waishwell and Carly Campbell as North Central built a 3-0 halftime lead.

The Cardinals produced 28 total shots, including 15 on goal, while holding Wheaton to just six attempts and a single shot on target. DeVriendt added a fourth goal early in the second half off an assist from Jordan Lange to seal the result. North Central also held a 12-0 advantage in corner kicks.

#2 North Park def. #6 Elmhurst, 2-1
Playing in the CCIW Tournament for the first time, the Vikings struck first just over five minutes into the match when Emilie Østlyngen opened the scoring. The second half remained level until the 65th minute. NPU’s Caroline Sjøstedt delivered what proved to be the game-winning goal, assisted by Sofia Svensson and Maja Applequist. North Park held a 17-8 advantage in total shots, including a 10-3 margin in the final period. Fitzharris and MacRitchie each finished with four saves in a full 90-minute effort, while Elmhurst led in corner kicks by an 8-4 count.
