NAPERVILLE – Wheaton senior guard Annika Richardson averaged 29.5 points and 12.0 rebounds in two starts last week to be selected College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week for the third time this season, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
The Northfield, Minn. native was also 22-for-36 (61.1%) from the floor across 74 minutes of action with four assists, four steals and a blocked shot.
Richardson netted 36 points and 12 boards in the Thunder’s 79-67 victory over Elmhurst last Wednesday. She made 13 of 18 field-goal attempts and hit five 3-pointers in the win. She added 23 points and 12 more rebounds on Saturday versus Carroll.
She now has six double-doubles this season and 11 for her career and moved into 12th place on Wheaton's career scoring list with 1,137 points.
