INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee announced today the swimming participants in the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. Tyler Leslie of Augustana was named an NCAA Division III national qualifier, the first Augie swimmer since Jared Ekberg in 2019.
Leslie's time of 1:37.79 in the 200 freestyle ranked him No. 9 in the nation and put him on the official invite list for the event. Leslie also appears in the top 50 in both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle and will compete in both of those events at the national meet as well.
"I am extremely proud of Tyler and the hard work and dedication he has put in for our program," said head coach Dan Lloyd. "He gives 100 percent in the classroom and the pool every day and his commitment to excellence in all he does has definitely paid off. He has had an outstanding season and this is an incredible achievement as the national meet is extremely difficult to make. I know he is excited and honored to represent our program, Augustana and the CCIW at the national championships. This is a great day for our program."
The championships will be held March 19-22 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference and the Greensboro Aquatic Center will serve as hosts. A total of 579 participants (526 swimmers and 53 divers) will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. The complete list of all swimmers competing in the championships is available at www.usaswimming.org/ncaa. NCAA.com will video stream all sessions Wednesday through Saturday of the championships.
