ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) saw 14 All-America First Team performances -- including two apiece from Augustana’s McKenzie Reser, Elmhurst’s Alyssa Busker and North Central’s Lindsey Novak -- at the NCAA Division III Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday in Rochester, N.Y.
 
Reser was second in the 400 meters and seventh in the 200 meters. She earned All-America Second Team honors in the 60 meters with a 15th-place showing. Busker was the runner up in the 200 and placed fourth in the 60 meters. Novak was the eighth-place finisher in both the 200 meters and the 400 meters.
 
The effort from Reser and Busker helped the Vikings and Bluejays tie for 10th place in the team standings with 18 points apiece.
 
First-Team All-America status is awarded to finishers first through eighth (individual events and relays) in each event. Second-Team All-America status is awarded to finishers ninth through 16th (individual events) and ninth through 10th (relays) in each event.
 
Other First Teamers included runner-up efforts from Augie’s Lina Maatouk (800 meters) and North Park’s Thea Ring (pentathlon). Vanessa Uitenbroek of Carroll placed third in the shot put, while teammate Maria Falk was the eighth-place finisher to give the Pioneers two First Team All-Americans in the event.
 
Carthage’s Abigail Calhoun (triple jump) and Nicole Tarpley (weight throw), Elmhurst’s Lauren Marshall (60 meters) and Chloe Selmer (long jump) and North Central’s Gwen Berenyi (pole vault) also secured performances among the top eight of their events for First Team All-America status.
