NEW ORLEANS -- Alyssa Busker, Jordan Bartolazzi, and David Stone received Midwest Region awards from the USTFCCCA for their outstanding contributions to Elmhurst University's track and field program during the 2025 indoor season.
Alyssa Busker, a sprinter from Plainfield, Illinois, earned the Midwest Region Track Athlete of the Year award after an impressive season that saw her break multiple records. At the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, Busker placed second in the 200 meters with a time of 24.29 seconds, just 0.3 seconds short of the national title. This performance ranked her seventh on the all-time NCAA DIII list.
Earlier in the season, Busker set a personal record of 7.45 seconds in the 60 meters, making her the third-fastest athlete in NCAA DIII history for that event. She later finished fourth at nationals with a time of 7.56 seconds, earning All-America honors.
Head coach Jordan Bartolazzi, in his eighth year as Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, was named the Midwest Region Women's Coach of the Year. Bartolazzi guided the Bluejays to a tenth-place finish at the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, the best in program history, with four athletes earning First-Team All-America honors.
Under his leadership, Elmhurst also claimed its first-ever team title at the CCIW Indoor Championships, scoring a meet-record 160 points and securing five event wins.
David Stone, in his seventh year as the Bluejays' jumps coach and third as Associate Head Coach, earned the Midwest Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year award. His athletes contributed 64 points at the CCIW Indoor Championships, including a 1-2-3 sweep in the long jump. The long jump squad was recognized as the No. 1 Event Squad in the nation.
