NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Women’s Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week for games played between Monday, March 24 and Sunday, March 30.
Offensive: Piper LeFevre, Carthage, Junior (Crystal Lake, Ill.)
LeFevre scored five goals and assisted on another in Carthage’s 13-9 win over Calvin on Saturday in Kenosha. She also recorded a ground ball and draw control to help the Firebirds improve to 8-1.
Defensive: Abby MacKenzie, North Central, Senior (Chilhowee, Mo.)
MacKenzie, who was named the league’s Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week on March 11, added the defensive award on Tuesday after tallying five ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers in the Cardinals’ 13-9 victory at Saint Mary’s (Ind.) last Wednesday. She also scored two goals on the offensive end for NCC.
