NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Men’s Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week for games played between Monday, April 14 and Sunday, April 20.
Offensive: Bob Boone, Illinois Wesleyan, Fifth Year (Los Angeles, Calif.)
Boone scored the game-winning goal with just 12 seconds left in Illinois Wesleyan’s 12-11 comeback win at Elmhurst last Saturday. Boone led the team with five points – one shy of his career-high – on two goals and a team-high three assists.
The decision gave the Titans sole possession of first place in the league standings and at least a share of the CCIW regular-season title.
Defensive: Sam Wallace, Carthage, Graduate Student (Bloomington, Minn.)
Wallace totaled eight ground balls and six caused turnovers to lift the Firebirds to conference wins over Carroll and North Central last week.
His six ground balls and five caused turnovers helped Carthage to a 12-3 win over North Central on Saturday, limiting the Cardinals to a season-low in scoring.
