NAPERVILLE – College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) powers North Central and Wheaton placed two players apiece on the 2025 D3football.com Preseason All-America First Team released Monday afternoon. In all, nine CCIW student-athletes from four different programs were recognized as preseason All-Americans.
Defensive tackle John Sullivan and safety Brayden Garrigan represented the CCIW-favorite Cardinals on the First Team on Monday. Wheaton’s selections were defensive end Peter Johanik and linebacker Luca Torti. Sullivan and Johanik were the co-recipients of the CCIW Don Larson Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year award in 2024.
Reed Breckheimer of Carroll was chosen for the Second Team Offense at tight end, while NCC’s defensive tackle Cortez Jones and cornerback Rahmareon Roby were on the Second Team Defense.
Aidan Kingsbury, a tackle, gave Wheaton three preseason All-Americans with a Third Team Offense nod. Ben Butler, a safety at North Park, was slotted on the Third Team Defense.
All nine CCIW student-athletes recognized Monday were All-CCIW First Team honorees last November.
