NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Carthage College’s Kristina Manojlovic, Carroll University’s Samantha Miserendino and Elmhurst University’s Freddie Temple claimed College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week honors, announced Monday.
Manojlovic earned her second weekly award after totaling 35 kills across eight sets, highlighted by 25 kills in a five-set win over No. 3 UW-Eau Claire. Miserendino anchored the Carroll defense with 31 digs across seven sets during a 2-0 week, while Temple directed the Elmhurst offense with 48 assists across six sets as the Blue Jays also went 2-0.

Offensive
Kristina Manojlovic, Carthage (Outside Hitter, Senior, Skokie, IL) - Second Weekly Award
Manojlovic led the Carthage offense during a 2-0 week, totaling 35 kills across eight sets and averaging 4.38 kills per set while hitting .300. The senior delivered her biggest performance in a five-set win over No. 3 nationally ranked UW-Eau Claire, finishing with 25 kills, 14 digs and two service aces while hitting .358. Manojlovic also added 25 digs, nine service aces and three blocks on the week, finishing with 46 total points and averaging 5.75 points per set.
Defensive
Samantha Miserendino, Carroll (DS/Libero, Junior, Aurora, IL)
Miserendino anchored the Carroll defense during a 2-0 week, totaling a team-high 31 digs across seven sets and averaging 4.43 digs per set. The junior recorded 14 digs in a four-set win over North Central College before posting a double-double with 17 digs and 10 assists in a sweep of Loras College. Her work in the back row helped the Pioneers hold opponents to a .135 hitting percentage while Carroll posted a .933 reception percentage across the two victories.
Setter
Freddie Temple, Elmhurst (Setter, Junior, Las Vegas, NV)
Temple directed the Elmhurst offense during a 2-0 week, totaling 48 assists across six sets and averaging 8.0 assists per set. The junior dished out 26 assists in a sweep of Saint Mary’s before adding 22 in a three-set win over North Park University. Temple also contributed eight digs and two service aces on the week and currently ranks third in the CCIW with 7.46 assists per set.
