NAPERVILLE — Carroll and Illinois Wesleyan continue to be represented in the national NCAA Division III women’s basketball rankings, as both programs appeared in recent updates from D3hoops.com and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
In the D3hoops.com Top 25 for Week 10, Carroll (18-4) moved up one spot to No. 15, while Illinois Wesleyan (17-5) held steady at No. 18. In the WBCA poll released Tuesday, Illinois Wesleyan climbed to No. 19 after being ranked 20th last week, and Carroll remained No. 21.
Both programs share a 12-1 record in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) play. Carroll enters the week following wins over Augustana (75-55) and Elmhurst (63-50), while Illinois Wesleyan posted victories against North Park (71-32) and Elmhurst (77-59).
At the top of both national polls, NYU remained No. 1 at 20-0 and received the majority of first-place votes, followed by Scranton (21-0) at No. 2 and Johns Hopkins (20-0) at No. 3, with Washington and Lee (21-0) and Wisconsin–Oshkosh (20-1) rounding out the top five.
