KENOSHA, Wis. — A margin of less than a point decided the women’s 3-meter title Friday as the 2026 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Diving Championships opened at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center, hosted by Carthage in Kenosha.
Wheaton’s Lara Stamp captured the championship with a winning total of 352.75, finishing 0.75 points ahead of Carthage’s Kendall Leistico (352.00). Stamp, the 2025 CCIW 1-meter champion and last year’s 3-meter runner-up, built her edge by leading the voluntary round at 155.40. Leistico produced the top optional score of the field at 204.40, but the closing surge fell just short of the overall lead.
Carthage placed two divers on the podium, as Mae Norman earned third with a 302.75. Norman improved on her 2025 results, when she finished fifth on both boards.
Augustana’s Kate Kucera posted a 301.35 to place fourth after taking third in the event a year ago. Wheaton’s Isabelle Fitzpatrick rounded out the top five at 213.40.
The championship continues Saturday with the women’s 1-meter and men’s 3-meter events. Competition begins at 11:30 a.m. following a senior recognition ceremony at approximately 11:20 a.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, students, and children under 14.
