NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced Tuesday afternoon that Carthage junior Ethan Foucheaux was selected as the CCIW Men’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week.
Foucheaux – a native of Jefferson City, Mo. – went 3-0 over the weekend as the Firebirds split a pair of non-conference matches against No. 38 Wisconsin-Whitewater and MSOE.
Foucheaux competed at No. 3 doubles with Francisco Silveira, posting a 6-2 win against UW-Whitewater on Friday before adding a 6-4 victory versus MSOE on Sunday. He also earned a straight-set result at No. 6 singles against MSOE, winning 6-4, 7-5.
Carthage is 5-1 overall this season and returns to action Friday, hosting DePauw.
