IWU’s Lowder, NCC’s Myles Named CCIW Weekly Honorees

NAPERVILLE — Illinois Wesleyan senior Evan Lowder and North Central senior Prentice Myles have been selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week following their performances over the weekend.
 
Track: Evan Lowder, Illinois Wesleyan
Lowder earned track honors after competing in the 400-meter dash at the Grand Valley State Big Meet. Lowder placed second in the invitational section and posted a career-best time of 47.56, establishing a new CCIW all-time indoor record in the event (previous record: 47.70). Lowder’s time currently ranks first in the CCIW and fifth in NCAA Division III this season. He also recorded a season-best 21.92 in the invitational 200-meter dash at the meet.
 
Field: Prentice Myles, North Central
Myles was named the field athlete of the week after his performance at the Chicagoland Indoor Championships. Myles won the long jump with a mark of 7.22 meters (23-8.25) to set a personal best by more than one foot. The mark leads the CCIW and ranks 12th in NCAA Division III this season. Myles also posted a personal best in the triple jump (13.81 meters) to finish second in the event.
