Marian, Carroll Share 2025-26 CCIW Women’s Bowling Regular-Season Title

DeKALB, Ill. — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) women’s bowling regular season concluded Sunday at Mardi Gras Lanes in DeKalb, Ill., as Marian and Carroll finished atop the standings to share the 2025-26 regular-season league championship.

Both programs completed the two-event round-robin schedule with identical 10-2 conference records. While the title is shared, Marian earned the No. 1 seed for the upcoming conference tournament by winning the total pinfall tiebreaker, finishing with 6,737 total pins over the season compared to Carroll’s 6,403.
 
Marian has now won or shared five consecutive CCIW regular-season championships (2022–2026), For Carroll, the championship marks the first-ever CCIW regular-season title in program history.

The top four teams advance to the double-elimination 2026 CCIW Bowling Championship, scheduled for March 21-22 at Highland Park Bowl in Moline, Ill. Marian and Carroll enter as co-champions, with Marian holding the No. 1 seed via the total pinfall tiebreaker Augustana (7-5) will be the third seed, while Carthage (6-6) will be slotted fourth.
 
Carroll was unbeaten after November’s event, but Marian posted a 5-1 weekend to pull into a tie in the final standings. The Sabres were highlighted by a tournament-high 1,072 traditional team game in a head-to-head victory over Carroll, while Carroll finished the weekend at 4-2 to secure its share of the championship.
 
In traditional play over the weekend, Marian’s Kaitlyn Kesler led all bowlers with a 230.67 average over three games and recorded a high game of 252. Additional traditional standouts included Delanie Vogt of Marian, who fired a weekend-high game of 268. Elmhurst’s Mary Graves averaged 214.33 with a high game of 234, Miley Brooks (Carroll) averaged 201.67 and Isabel Gonzales of Carthage posted a high game of 233.
 
In Baker play, Aurora’s Madison Freischlag recorded the weekend’s highest individual game with a 235. Other Baker highs included Ava Butt of Carroll with a 234, Kesler with a 224, Carthage’s Isabel Gonzales with a 212. 
 
Graves added a 214 Baker game, while Anna Ricci of Augustana posted a 200.
