NAPERVILLE — Carroll’s Sierra Skack and Grace Tumilty were named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday after helping the Pioneers to a 2-0 record last week. Carroll improved to 8-0 on the season with victories over Concordia Wisconsin and Saint Benedict.
 
Offensive: Sierra Skack, Carroll
Skack received the offensive award following a 15-point week for the Pioneers. She totaled nine goals and six assists across the two wins, beginning with a six-goal, three-assist performance in Carroll’s 21-4 road victory over Concordia Wisconsin last Wednesday. 
 
She added three goals and three assists in a 17-7 win over Saint Benedict on Saturday. A senior attacker, Skack is from Muskego, Wis.
 
Defensive: Grace Tumilty, Carroll
Tumilty was recognized after helping anchor a Carroll unit that allowed 11 total goals over the two contests. The graduate student defender finished the week with 15 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and five draw controls. 
 
Her top statistical outing came against Saint Benedict, where the Willowbrook, Ill. native recorded a career-high 12 ground balls and added eight caused turnovers. Tumilty also played a role in limiting Concordia Wisconsin to four goals as Carroll remained unbeaten through eight games.
