CCIW Represented by Three on Men’s Basketball All-America Teams

NAPERVILLE — Three College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) student-athletes from Illinois Wesleyan and Wheaton received 2025-26 All-America recognition from D3hoops.com and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

Illinois Wesleyan sophomore Noah Cleveland was named a First Team All-American by both the NABC and D3hoops.com. He was also selected as the D3hoops.com National Rookie of the Year, making Illinois Wesleyan the first program to produce multiple recipients of the award since it was established in 2008.

Cleveland’s national honors followed a season in which he became the first student-athlete in CCIW history to earn both Most Outstanding Student-Athlete and First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year in the same season. A unanimous First Team All-CCIW selection, he averaged 18.8 points and 11.3 rebounds per game and recorded 16 double-doubles, the sixth-highest total in Division III.

Wheaton junior Soren Richardson and Illinois Wesleyan junior Mason Funk were both named to the D3hoops.com All-America Fifth Team.

Richardson, a guard, repeated as the CCIW scoring leader in conference games, averaging 23.0 points per contest. He was a unanimous First Team All-CCIW selection for the second straight season and averaged 22.4 points per game overall while reaching double figures in 25 of Wheaton’s 26 games. He became the ninth player in program history to earn D3hoops.com postseason All-America recognition.

Funk received his first All-America honor following. A First Team All-CCIW selection and Jostens Trophy finalist, he averaged 15.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while ranking seventh nationally with 73 blocked shots. He helped lead Illinois Wesleyan to a 26-5 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA Division III Elite Eight.

The selections added to the national All-America history of both programs. Illinois Wesleyan has now recorded 19 D3hoops.com All-America selections from 13 players, while Wheaton has totaled 15 selections from nine players.

The 2025-26 season also saw Illinois Wesleyan win both the CCIW regular-season and tournament titles in the same year for the first time in program history.
