NAPERVILLE —The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon. Augustana sophomore Kaileb Hackman was named Hitter of the Week, while North Park senior Jackson Nuese received Pitcher of the Week honors.
Hitter: Kaileb Hackman, Augustana
Hackman helped lead Augustana to a 4-0 weekend at the Gene Cusic Classic in Florida. The sophomore utility player from Bloomington, Ill., batted .600 (9-for-15) across four games with seven runs scored, eight RBI, two home runs and two doubles, posting a 1.133 slugging percentage.
He opened the weekend by going 3-for-4 with four RBI in a win over Pitt-Bradford and recorded at least one hit and one RBI in each of the Vikings’ four games. Augustana improved to 8-3 on the season.
Pitcher: Jackson Nuese, North Park
Nuese earned the conference’s pitching honor after helping North Park to a 2-1 win over 15th-ranked Wisconsin-La Crosse.
The Kihei, Hawaii native worked seven scoreless innings, allowing six hits with five strikeouts and no walks. Nuese did not allow an earned run, earning his second win of the 2026 season.
