NAPERVILLE --- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its latest Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday. North Central outfielder Parker Wyatt was selected as Hitter of the Week, while Carroll pitcher Tyler Fredrick received Pitcher of the Week recognition.
 
Hitter: Parker Wyatt, North Central
Wyatt put together a productive seven-game stretch for the Cardinals, hitting three home runs during the week. The junior from Shorewood, Wisconsin opened that run on Monday against Augustana by going 4-for-4 with four runs scored and four RBI.
 
He continued to contribute throughout the week, adding a three-run home run against North Park and a two-run homer against Benedictine. In that same game, Wyatt also recorded his 17th double of the season, moving into a tie for eighth on North Central’s single-season list. He closed the week with a three-hit performance against Illinois Wesleyan, scoring three runs and driving in three more while also collecting a triple.
 
Pitcher: Tyler Fredrick, Carroll
Fredrick was recognized after his start against Elmhurst on Saturday, when he worked eight scoreless innings in Carroll’s 6-2 win. The sophomore right-hander allowed five hits, struck out two and issued one walk.The outing improved Fredrick to 4-0 on the season and helped Carroll earn a split in its conference doubleheader with the Bluejays.
