Elmhurst Leads 2026 All-CCIW Men’s Lacrosse Selections

NAPERVILLE — Elmhurst, the outright College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) regular-season champion after finishing 5-0 in league play, led the 2026 All-CCIW Men’s Lacrosse selections announced Tuesday afternoon with nine total honorees. The Bluejays placed seven student-athletes on the First Team, the highest total among conference programs.
 
Elmhurst’s Eli Spence was named CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year for the third consecutive season, the league’s first-ever three-time offensive winner. Spence led the conference during league play in goals per game (5.80) and points per game (7.00), totaling 35 points over five CCIW contests.
 
Tony Vazquez of Elmhurst was selected as the CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season. Vazquez led the league with 12.20 ground balls per game and posted a conference-best .835 faceoff winning percentage among regular participants, winning 91 of 109 attempts in CCIW play.
 
Augustana’s Jamar Taylor was named the CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year. Taylor led the conference with 3.20 caused turnovers per game and was also named to the All-CCIW Second Team as a defender.
 
Elmhurst’s coaching staff, headed by Mark Morrell, was voted CCIW Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Bluejays to the regular-season title and the top seed in the CCIW Tournament. Elmhurst led the conference in multiple statistical categories during league play, including scoring offense at 21.4 goals per game, scoring margin at plus-14.6 and shooting percentage at .399.
 
The 2026 All-CCIW teams also included several repeat selections. Spence and Vazquez became four-time All-CCIW honorees. EU’s Matt Koshiol received his third consecutive First Team selection, while teammate Hunter Hernandez earned his third All-CCIW honor after previously being named the 2024 CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year. 
 
Additional multi-year honorees included Timothy McHugh, Billy McHugh and Karsten Nordlie of Illinois Wesleyan, as well as Carthage’s Josh Flores.
