NAPERVILLE — Carroll’s Elizabeth Wang and Augustana’s Colleen Chiavola have been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week for the final week of the regular season.
 
Offensive: Elizabeth Wang, Carroll
Wang earned Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week honors after totaling 11 points on nine goals and two assists in two Carroll victories. The junior midfielder from Wildomar, Calif. opened the week with six goals and two assists in a 22-2 win over North Central. She added three goals in the regular-season finale against Carthage, including the game-tying goal in the fourth quarter, as Carroll secured its second consecutive CCIW regular-season title.
 
Defensive: Colleen Chiavola, Augustana
Chiavola was selected as the Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week following a 1-1 week for Augustana. The junior from Chicago recorded nine ground balls and seven caused turnovers while playing a central role in the Vikings’ zone defense against Illinois Wesleyan and North Central. She also contributed five goals in Augustana’s 15-8 win over Illinois Wesleyan, the Vikings’ first victory in the series in nine years.
