NAPERVILLE — Carthage sophomore Lexi Manteufel has been selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week.
Manteufel earned the honor after placing first or tying for first in two events last week. The Franksville, Wis. native opened the week at the Albion Spring Invite at Marshall Country Club, where she carded rounds of 75 and 73 to win the individual title.
She continued her week at the Wartburg Spring Invite, finishing in a tie for first place after rounds of 72 and 73. Manteufel recorded 13 birdies across the four rounds of competition.
Her performance also helped Carthage win the team title at the Albion Spring Invite. Manteufel has moved into the top 100 of the national rankings at No. 95.
