NAPERVILLE — Top-seeded Carroll and second-seeded Carthage advanced to the championship game of the 2026 CCIW Women’s Lacrosse Championship following semifinal victories on Wednesday evening.
Carroll will host Carthage on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the championship final at Schneider Stadium in Waukesha. The matchup is a rematch of the 2025 CCIW championship game, won by Carroll, 12-2, and will be the second meeting between the programs in eight days.
Admission for Saturday’s championship game is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors age 65 and older, students and children age 6 and older. Current CCIW students will be admitted free with a valid institutional ID.
#1 Carroll def. #4 Illinois Wesleyan, 22-2
Carroll earned its place in the final with a 22-2 victory over No. 4 Illinois Wesleyan. The Pioneers scored nine goals in the first quarter and led 14-0 at halftime. Sierra Skack finished with five goals and five assists for 10 points, while Elizabeth Wang also scored five times. Rebecca Hallman added four goals and two assists.
The Pioneers limited Illinois Wesleyan to five total shots and forced 22 turnovers. The Titans scored twice in the second half on goals from Maddie Gibson and Sophie Shore. Marli Brown made 13 saves for Illinois Wesleyan.
#2 Carthage def. #3 Augustana, 21-1
Carthage advanced from the other semifinal with a 21-1 win over No. 3 Augustana in Kenosha. The Firebirds scored 46 seconds into the game and built a 14-1 halftime lead. Auggie Claridge and Piper Lefevre each recorded four goals and two assists, while Kyleigh Higgins finished with six assists. Shannon Heitschmidt added three goals and three assists.
Carthage allowed two shots and forced 30 Augustana turnovers. Colleen Chiavola scored Augustana’s lone goal in the first quarter.\
