NAPERVILLE — Elmhurst and Illinois Wesleyan will meet Saturday in the final game of the 2026 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Lacrosse Championship following semifinal wins on Wednesday evening.
Top-seeded Elmhurst will host third-seeded Illinois Wesleyan at 1 p.m. at Langhorst Field in Elmhurst. The championship game will be the second meeting between the teams in eight days. Illinois Wesleyan has defeated Elmhurst in each of the last two CCIW Tournament championship games and will enter Saturday seeking its fourth consecutive tournament title and eighth tournament championship in program history.
#1 Elmhurst def. #4 North Central, 17-4
Elmhurst advanced to the final with a 17-4 win over No. 4 North Central at Langhorst Field. North Central led 3-2 after the first quarter behind goals from Chase Odom, Chris Veal and Jack Blaylock, but Elmhurst responded with eight unanswered goals in the second quarter to take a 10-3 lead into halftime.
Eli Spence led the Bluejays with six goals and five assists for 11 points. Landon Davis added four goals, while Tony Vazquez won 14 of 19 faceoffs. Elmhurst held North Central scoreless during the second quarter and did not allow another goal until the fourth.
#3 Illinois Wesleyan def. #2 Carthage, 19-6
Illinois Wesleyan earned its place in the championship game with a 19-6 win at No. 2 Carthage. The Titans scored the first eight goals of the game and led throughout the contest.
Jack Vander Kooi scored six goals and added one assist for Illinois Wesleyan. Jeremy Langosch finished with four goals. The Titans also controlled possession through faceoff play, winning 25 of 29 attempts. Michael Rocco went 12-for-13, while Matt Arnold finished 11-for-13.
Carthage received second-half goals from Alex Bailey and Rye Taylor, but Illinois Wesleyan maintained its lead to secure the semifinal victory.
