ROCKFORD, Ill. — Illinois Wesleyan remained in first place following Thursday’s second round of the 2026 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Golf Championship at Aldeen Golf Club in Rockford, Ill.
The Titans, who are seeking their 14th consecutive CCIW title, completed the second round with a 36-hole team score of even par. Illinois Wesleyan holds a 32-stroke lead entering Friday’s final round. Tournament host Millikin and Carthage are tied for second at 32-over-par, followed by Augustana in fourth at 34-over, North Park in fifth at 36-over and Elmhurst in sixth at 38-over.
IWU’s Pablo Castro maintained the individual lead after shooting a 1-under-par 71 on Thursday. Castro is 6-under-par through two rounds and holds a seven-stroke advantage entering the final day. His second round included birdies on holes No. 2, No. 3, No. 6 and No. 18.
Ryan Andrews of Illinois Wesleyan is second at 1-over-par, while defending CCIW medalist Michael Spitzer is third at 2-over. Millikin’s Jack Bollinger is fourth at 3-over, and Illinois Wesleyan’s Juney Bai is tied for fifth at 4-over.
The 54-hole championship is being played at Aldeen Golf Club for the first time. The final round is scheduled to begin Friday at 9 a.m.
