NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Senior Wyatt Brown of Wheaton College was awarded the CCIW Men’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week award on Thursday after taking home medalist honors and leading the Thunder to victory at the Judson Invitational last Friday.

At the Randall Oaks Golf Club in Dundee, the Wheaton ‘A’ team claimed a seven-shot victory in a field of 23 teams with a score of 285 (+1). Brown was at the heart of that victory for the Thunder by shooting a 67 (-4), outpacing teammate Luke Pringle by two strokes. That duo were the only two players in the field of more than 120 to break par. 

After having competed earlier this week in Carthage’s Firebird Fall Classic, Wheaton will make a return trip to Wisconsin on Sept. 25-26 for the Midwest Region Classic in Kansasville.
