NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central College’s Ari Elmayan claimed College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honors following a strong showing at the Gil Dodds Invitational hosted by Wheaton College.

Elmayan was the top CCIW finisher in the field, placing sixth overall with an 8k time of 25:21 while leading North Central to a second-place team finish. The junior also improved his previous best time at the St. James Farm course by nearly two minutes. Elmayan currently holds the third-fastest 8K time in the CCIW this season, trailing only North Central teammates BJ Sorg and Daniel Kasperan.

Elmayan and the Cardinals return to action Oct. 3 across two meets, competing at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic, hosted by the University of Louisville, and the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational, hosted by Augustana College.
