North Central's Kelleher named CCIW Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for fifth time

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s Troy Kelleher earned his fifth College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor of the season on Tuesday.

Kelleher, a junior from Hilliard, Ohio and Bradley High School (English-Print Journalism/Marketing major), finished second out of 653 competitors during Saturday’s UW-Oshkosh’s AAE Invitational. His time of 24:35.3 led the top-ranked Cardinals to a first place finish in the 45-team meet, ahead of 11 other nationally-ranked teams. Additionally, Kelleher was named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Athlete of the Week after his performance on Saturday.
