North Park's Cobbs named CCIW Men's Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Park’s T.J. Cobbs was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
 
Cobbs, a senior guard from Evergreen Park, Illinois and Evergreen Park High School (Physical Education major), helped lead the Vikings to a 2-0 record and their first-ever berth in the CCIW Men’s Basketball Tournament last week. He scored 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field (2-of-2 from the three-point line), along with seven rebounds, two assists and three steals during a 64-53 win at Carroll on February 15. He then scored 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting (2-of-3 from the three-point line), along with seven rebounds, six assists and two steals during an 87-82 overtime victory against Augustana on February 18.
