Elmhurst's Eppard named CCIW Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Elmhurst’s Mikaela Eppard was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Eppard, a senior guard/forward from Englewood, Colorado and Cherry Creek High School (Communication Sciences and Disorders major), averaged a double-double of 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds for the 1-1 Bluejays over the Holiday break. She finished with 24 points on 10-of-16 shooting, 13 rebounds, two steals, one block and one assist in a 76-57 win over Aurora on December 28. Eppard followed up with 19 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals in a four-point loss to Loras on December 30. With 10 rebounds against Loras, Eppard moved into third place on the Bluejays’ all-time rebounding list with 887.
