GREENWOOD, Ind. — College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2025-26 Academic All-America® women’s basketball teams on Wednesday. Carroll senior Natalie Gricius was named the Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year for Division III, while Illinois Wesleyan senior Sawyer White earned Academic All-America® Second Team recognition.
Gricius became the first student-athlete in Carroll history to receive Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year honors. The senior forward from Oconomowoc, Wis. is a nursing major with a 3.98 GPA and helped lead the Pioneers to a 23-6 record and the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) regular-season championship.
During the 2025-26 season, Gricius averaged 22.8 points per game while shooting 55.6 percent from the field. She established a Carroll single-season record with 639 points, became the first WBCA All-American in program history, was selected as a finalist for the Jostens Trophy and reached the career milestones of 1,500 points and 500 rebounds.
White collected Academic All-America® Second Team honors for Illinois Wesleyan, giving the program an Academic All-America® recipient for the third consecutive season. A senior point guard from Downers Grove, Ill., White carries a 3.95 GPA as an elementary education major and served as a co-captain for a Titan team that finished 23-6 and won the CCIW Tournament title.
White averaged 13.4 points per game during her senior season and concluded her career as Illinois Wesleyan’s all-time steals leader after recording 111 steals in 2025-26. She also received WBCA All-America Honorable Mention recognition and was named to the All-CCIW First Team. White became the ninth Academic All-America® honoree in the history of Illinois Wesleyan women’s basketball.
The 15-member Academic All-America® Division III women’s basketball team posted a collective 3.88 grade-point average, while the five first-team selections combined for a 3.92 average. The Division III Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure.
