NWCA Division III Individual Rankings (October 29)
NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Five College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) student-athletes were ranked in the first National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III Individual Rankings on Tuesday.
The ranked student-athletes include Elmhurst junior
Jimmy McAuliffe, Millikin junior
Bradan Birt, North Central sophomore
Cody Baldridge, Wheaton senior
Isaac Odell, and Augustana senior
Adarios Jones.
McAuliffe finished 20-7 overall at 141 pounds last year and enters this season ranked seventh at 149 pounds. He qualified for the NCAA Championships last season and finished 3-2.
Birt earned all-America honors for the second-straight season last year and finished 29-7 at 157 pounds. He is ranked seventh at 165 pounds.
Baldridge was 34-9 at 184 pounds last year and enters this season ranked fifth in the same weight class. Joining Baldridge in the 184-pound rankings is Odell, who is currently ranked 10th. Last year, Odell was 34-10 at 184 pounds.
Jones enters the season ranked No. 1 at 285 pounds following a 27-1 record last season and a second place finish at the NCAA Championship.
The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2018-19 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,200 academic all-conference recipients, 18 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 43 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
