NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Park sophomore forward Jayla Johnson won her third College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor of the 2019-20 season on Monday.

A native of Wheaton, Illinois and Wheaton-Warrenville South High School, Johnson averaged 24 points and seven rebounds for the 1-1 Vikings last week. She scored 23 points and added four rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in a 77-64 win over Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday. It was North Park's first win over the Titans in 15 years. She then tallied her fifth double-double of the season with 25 points and 10 rebounds at North Central on Saturday. Johnson shot a combined 20-of-30 in the two games.

During the 2018-19 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,200 academic all-conference recipients, 18 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 43 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
