Illinois Wesleyan's Leritz named CCIW Men's Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan senior forward Matthew Leritz was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Basketball Players of the Week on Monday.

A Finance major from St. Louis, Missouri, Leritz helped keep the fourth-ranked Titans unbeaten on the season with a pair of road wins over Alma and Calvin last week. Leritz scored 28 points in both victories, shooting 62.5% from both the field (25-40) and the three-point line (5-8). Leritz made 13-of-21 field goal attempts and grabbed three rebounds in just 22 minutes in a Friday victory at Alma. On Saturday, he scored 23 of his 28 points after halftime, finishing the game 12-of-19 (63.2%) from the field and three-of-four from beyond the arc. He also grabbed 12 rebounds for his third 'double-double' of the season.
