NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's Rafael Roman was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday.

Roman, a senior from Glen Carbon, Illinois and Edwardsville High School, went 3-0 at 165 pounds during the Carthage Duals on Saturday. He had three technical falls and outscored his opponents 53-5 on the day. Roman opened with a 15-0 technical fall over Wheaton's Stephen Watson, followed by a 17-1 win over Carthage's Collin Ruiz. He finished the day with a 21-4 technical fall over MSOE's Hunter Huddleston.
