NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Millikin junior guard Elyce Knudsen has been named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week, according to a Tuesday afternoon announcement from the league office. Knudsen’s selection marks the first weekly honor from the CCIW during the 2022-23 season.
The Philo, Ill. native averaged 23.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in three outings for the 14th-ranked Big Blue last week and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Tip-Off Classic on Saturday.
Knudsen opened the campaign with 23 points in a 91-51 victory over Beloit last Tuesday. She poured in 22 more points in Friday’s matchup with Wisconsin-Stevens Point and tallied 25 against host #4/8 Wisconsin-Whitewater on Saturday.
For the week, Knudsen shot 51 percent (30-for-59) from the floor, including an 8-for-14 effort from 3-point range.
