Lauren Huber Repeats as CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – For the second consecutive week, Illinois Wesleyan’s Lauren Huber has been named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. Huber helped the Titans to three wins last week, including the championship of the Midwest Challenge on Sunday afternoon.
 
Huber averaged 19.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.0 steals, 2.3 assists and 1.0 block in non-conference starts against Eureka, DePauw and WashU last week. She reached double figures in scoring in all three outings, including a 31-point, 12-rebound double-double in Sunday’s victory over WashU in the final of the Midwest Challenge in Greencastle, Ind. She also had five steals in the win over the Bears, helping IWU to its first title at the event since 2018. 
 
The sophomore from Lombard, Ill. is the first player to repeat as CCIW Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week since North Park’s Jayla Johnson in January 2022.
