NAPERVILLE – The College
Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW)
has announced Illinois Wesleyan’s Lauren Huber as the league’s Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. Huber has received the honor from the CCIW three times this season four times in her collegiate career.
Huber delivered for the Titans Saturday night at the Shirk Center, scoring 28 points and tying the single-game IWU record with 20 rebounds in Illinois Wesleyan’s 81-62 victory over North Central. The sophomore from Lombard, Ill. also had six assists and two steals over 32 minutes.
The Titans improved to 7-3 overall and 2-1 in the CCIW after Saturday’s win. Huber leads the league and ranks 42nd in Division III with 96 total rebounds this season.
