2022 CCIW All-Conference Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced today the 26 members of the 2022 All-Conference Men's Lacrosse Team.

Additionally, the conference announced its season-ending award recipients, and the seven RESPECT Award winners.

Transylvania junior midfielder Dalton Hubbs was named the CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year after he was named to the First Team. Teammate and freshman defender Benjamin Marcum was named the CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year. Marcum was named a First Team recipient and was the only freshman named to the all-conference team.

Augustana senior long-stick middie Matt Pierson earned CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year, becoming the first Viking to win this award. He is also the first Augustana Athlete of the Year since Scott Davis won the offensive award in 2015. 

Carthage's David Neff was named the 2022 CCIW Coach of the Year after leading the Firebirds to a 5-1 record and second place in the CCIW, earning the No. 2 seed in this week's CCIW Men's Lacrosse Tournament. Neff is a three-time Coach of the Year recipient, the last coming in 2017. 

RESPECT Award: At the conclusion of every sports season, each varsity program will recognize one student-athlete as their RESPECT Award honoree. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.
